It is our pleasure to announce that Munich-based curator and visual artist Anna Pasco Bolta will be joining FABRIKKEN for a new four-week curatorial residency in collaboration with Goethe-Institut Denmark & The Department of Arts and Culture of the City of Munich.

Anna Pasco Bolta (ES) is a curator and visual artist based in Munich. Her transdisciplinary research is characterized by a hybrid nature and relational practices. It investigates mechanisms and models for understanding and constructing the idea of life and existence. Approaches from nature science and poetic languages provide tools and vehicles to question systems of coexistence and politics to surrender to a more intimate coexistence and become an embedded and co-creative part of biodiversity.

Bolta’s international academic background extends from the University of Fine Arts of Barcelona, the École National Supérieur des Beaux Arts in Paris and the Akademie der Bildenden Künste München. She is currently completing a master’s degree in curatorship and cultural management at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. She has been part of the curatorial team of Lothringer 13 München and has conceived various contemporary exhibitions, for example the last project together with the curator Yara Sonseca at the Cervantes Institute in Munich. She also collaborates as a professor of artistic creation at the Faculty of Architecture of the Technische Universität München and gives many workshops and lectures in cultural and scientific institutions.

Starting May 15th 2024, the four-week residency offers Anna Pasco Bolta a studio space at FABRIKKEN, the opportunity to build networks with professional Copenhagen-based artists, to get to know the Danish art scene, and to develop ideas for new curatorial projects.

The Curator-in-Resicence program is funded by the Department of Arts and Culture of the City of Munich and the Goethe-Institut Denmark, in cooperation with FABRIKKEN for Kunst og Design.
